What are the themes in your songs?
Every song we write is a story of how we grow up. For example, we put our student lives into the lyrics. We are basically just sharing our lives at different stages. When we listen to our songs from the earlier years, it feels like reading a story about ourselves. This is something very interesting.
What are your future goals in Japan?
When we were still new to the industry, we got in touch with many bands and the ones from Japan had the greatest influence on us. The biggest gain for us is to be able to learn while performing and participating music festivals in Japan. It’s a great challenge to go to new places and to get to know new people. We are happy that music has given us the opportunity to make friends. Every live performance is precious to us.
What is the most important thing in a live performance?
It’s the atmosphere. Every live performance is unique so it’s crucial that we give it our best each time, to fully dedicate ourselves to the performance. That moment when we see the audience immersing in our performance and enjoying themselves to the fullest, that is when we truly feel the value of our own existence. It’s a moment that nothing can replace.
What are your dreams and goals for the future?
In the past, we were very certain of our goals which included completing an album or performing in a particular music festival. We’ve accomplished many goals in recent years so last year, we began relooking at what our dreams ought to be. For now, our dream is to continue what we are doing for the time to come. We want to be able to share every stage of our lives through music and to continue writing better songs.

I used to wear thicker frames because I liked the bold look created by thicker frames. However, thicker frames are usually heavier so it’s uncomfortable when you wear for a long time. I really like this pair. It is light and comfortable even when I wear it over a long period of time.

This pair has a classic front surface that is in sharp contrast with the metal underside. It’s a perfect blend of two opposing types of characteristics which I think makes it really unique.

A punk rock band from Kaohsiung Taiwan, established in year 2000. Their song, Island’s Sunrise, won Song of the Year in the 2015 Golden Melody Awards with its upbeat tempo and catchy melody. The song‘s energy and its blend of Taiwanese and Mandarin lyrics resonated with the young, aspiring Taiwanese people. The band is one of the few young songwriters who can produce poetic Taiwanese song lyrics in the music scene today.
