  • Warranty Information

  • Q1: How long is the warranty period and what are the terms and conditions?

    A1: Please refer to OWNDAYS Customer Guarantees page for details on the warranty period and policies.

  • Q2: What are the terms and conditions on the warranty of lenses?

    A2: We provide 1-year warranty on lens visual performance.
    * A revised prescription is required for lens degree used based on your requested prescription.
    The warranty does not cover damages to the lenses, including cracks or scratches on the lens coating.

  • Q3: What are the terms and conditions on the warranty of frames?

    A3: In the event where the frames become faulty under normal use within 1 year from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace them at no charge.

  • Q4: Is the warranty valid at any shop?

    A4: Yes.
    The warranty is valid at any OWNDAYS shop around the world. Please bring the glasses and the warranty card when you visit us.
    *If you require overseas warranty support, please first contact the shop of purchase.

  • Q5: I lost my warranty card. Is my pair still covered by the warranty?

    A5: We recommend that you keep your warranty card in a safe place. We are unable to provide certain warranty services if you do not present your warranty card.

  • Q6: The warranty period is already over. Can you still provide warranty?

    A6: No.
    We are unable to extend the warranty period.

  • Q7: I have lost my glasses. Am I covered by the warranty?

    A7: No.
    The warranty does not cover loss or misplacement.

  • Lens Information

  • Q8: The prescription on the lenses is not suitable for me. Can I make an exchange?

    A8: We offer up to 2 changes of lens degree if you experience discomfort in your vision within one year of purchase.
    * A revised prescription is required for lens degree used based on your requested prescription.
    After the first year, lens replacement is at half price (offer valid for one time use only).

  • Q9: The lens is scratched. Does the warranty cover this?

    A9: No, it does not.
    Alternatively, you may wish to replace them at RM198 for a pair of high index aspheric lenses.
    *There are additional charges for optional lenses.
    *Lens replacement service may not be applicable to some frames due to constraints in the frame condition and its shape.

  • Q10: I am bothered by the lens thickness. Is it possible to make them thinner?

    A10: Yes, it is possible.
    Please speak to our staff at the shop where you have made the purchase.
    They will offer you the most suitable lenses based on your degree.
    Do note that there may be occasions when we cannot meet your required lens thickness due to your degree and the size/shape of the frames.

  • Q11: I have purchased a pair of single vision glasses. Is it possible to change the lenses to progressive lenses?

    A11: Yes, it would be.
    During the warranty period, we provide a one-time replacement of your lenses to progressive lenses at an additional fee of RM300.
    Please allow 7 working days for processing.

  • Q12: I have purchased a pair of glasses with progressive lenses. Can you change the lenses into single vision lenses i.e. normal reading glasses?

    A12: We offer free exchange of progressive lenses to regular single vision lenses within two months of purchase. Please bring your glasses and the warranty card to our shop within the warranty period.

  • Q13: I had my new lenses made with the same degree as my current pair of glasses. However, my vision seems different. Why is this so?

    A13: The change in your vision could be due to the shape and the fitting of the frames.
    *If you are not comfortable with your vision, please visit our shop so we could confirm your degree and adjust the frames and the fitting accordingly. Kindly bring your glasses and the warranty card to our shop within the warranty period.

  • Making a Purchase

  • Q14: Is a prescription required for getting a pair of glasses at the shop?

    A14: No, prescription is not required.
    We will do an eye test for you and then process the glasses accordingly.
    However, we recommend that you obtain a prescription in advance in the following circumstances:
    - For those who are below 12 years old and are using glasses for the first time.
    - For those who have eye disease and are receiving treatment at an eye clinic.
    - For those whose eye conditions are unstable.

  • Q15: Do you provide eye tests for children?

    A15: Yes, we do. However, for those of 12 years old and below, we recommend obtaining a prescription first.

  • Q16: What payment modes do you accept?

    A16: We accept cash and credit card such as Visa and Master card.
    For other possible payment modes such as gift vouchers and gift cards, please feel free to ask our shop staff for more details.

  • Q17: Is it possible to pay by credit card?

    A17: Yes.
    All shops accept VISA and MASTERCARD.

  • Q18: Can you send products by post?

    A18: Yes.
    We can send products to you via a delivery service such as Poslaju. Do note that you will have to bear the cost of delivery.
    Please feel free to ask our shop staff for more details.

  • Q19: Can you make glasses with the same degree as my existing pair?

    A19: Yes, we can.
    Please bring along your existing pair of glasses so we can make the same degree for the new pair. Alternatively, we also accept other forms of record of the degree.
    *There may be circumstances where we are unable to check the degree due to scratches or damaged coating on the lenses.

  • Q21: How long does it take to make the glasses?

    A20: Yes.
    We provide free eye test with no purchase needed.

  • Q21: How long does it take to make the glasses?

    A21: We can process your glasses in as little as 20 minutes upon payment.
    *Depending on how busy the shop is and the availability of lenses in stock.
    *Longer processing time may be required in some cases. For instance, it may take a few days if you have selected optional lenses.

  • Q22: Is it possible to have an eye test while wearing contact lenses?

    A22: No.
    Customers must remove their contact lenses to have their eyes tested. We provide contact lens case and rinse solution.
    *For disposable contact lenses, please bring a replacement set with you.
    *For soft contact lenses, a minimum of 15 minutes of resting time is needed upon removal of contact lenses in order to perform an accurate eye test.
    *For hard contact lenses, over 24 hours of resting time is needed after removing the contact lenses.

  • Q24: Is it possible to buy just the frames?

    A24: Yes.
    We offer RM100 discount off the set price if you are buying the frames only.

  • Q25: Do you offer thinner lenses?

    A25: Yes.
    Our lenses range from High Index Aspheric Lenses (1.60) to Ultra High Index Aspheric Lenses (1.74). Based on your degree, we offer you the most suitable lenses at no additional fee.

  • Q26: Is there an additional fee for astigmatism correction?

    A26: No.
    There is no additional fee regardless of astigmatism or degree.

  • Q27: Can you make reading glasses?

    A27: Yes, we can.
    Our reading glasses are at the set price indicated on the frames.

  • Q28: Do you offer lenses with UV protection?

    A28: Yes.
    All lenses at OWNDAYS come with UV protection which can reduce over 99% of UV rays reaching the eyes.

  • Q29: Can you make glasses with progressive lenses and office progressive lenses?

    A29: Yes, we can.
    Please note that there is an additional fee of RM300 for progressive lenses.
    *There is a processing time of 7 – 10 working days.
    *Office progressive and computer progressive lenses are ordered from Japan and hence there is a processing time of 14 working days.

  • Q30: Can you make glasses with polarised lenses?

    A30: Yes, we can.
    Please note that there is an additional fee of RM300 for polarised lenses.
    *There is a processing time of 7 working days.
    *Polarised lenses cannot be used for half-rim or rimless frames.

  • Q31: Can you make glasses with transition lenses?

    A31: Yes, we can.
    Please note that there is an additional fee of RM300 for transition lenses.
    *There is a processing time of 7 working days.

  • Q32: Can you make glasses for squint?

    A32: Yes.
    We can make them based on a prescription issued by an eye doctor.
    *In some cases involving certain degrees, we may be unable to make the glasses for squint.

  • Q33: Can you make glasses with no degree?

    A33: Yes, we can.
    No-degree lenses will be used.
    These lenses also come with UV protection and water-repellent coating.

  • Q34: Do you have frames for children?

    A34: Yes, we do.

  • Q35: Do you charge any fees on top of the set prices?

    A35: Yes.
    Additional fees will apply to the following optional lenses:
    - RM300 per pair of progressive lenses (progressive, office progressive and computer progressive)
    - RM300 per pair of colour lenses
    - RM300 per pair of PC lenses
    - RM300 per pair of transition lenses
    - RM300 per pair of polarised lenses

    *Additional processing time of several days may be required.

  • Q36: Can you change the lenses of frames purchased from other optical shops?

    A36: Yes.
    We provide a lens replacement service at a fee of RM198 for high index aspheric lenses and RM498 for progressive lenses.
    Additional fees will apply to optional lenses such as colour lenses and PC lenses.
    For some types of lenses such as colour lenses and PC lenses, there is an additional fee.
    *Please note that the lens replacement service is not available in the following circumstances:
    [Material]
    - Specialised frames such as those made from gold, platinum, tortoiseshell, wood, bamboo and horn
    [Shape]
    - Frames that require large lenses or frames with strong curve
    [Condition]
    - Frames that are damaged, have cracks or are distorted
    [Lens]
    - Glass lenses or lenses with strong curve
    [Other]
    Lenses that OWNDAYS does not handle
    *There is a processing time of 7 - 14 working days for certain types of lenses and degrees.
    *There may be other circumstances where we are unable to provide the lens replace service. Please ask our shop staff for details.

  • Q37: I would like to reserve a limited edition or collaboration product.

    A37: We do not accept reservations of limited edition or collaboration products as such items usually come in limited qualities.

  • After Sales Service

  • Q38: What after sales service do you provide?

    A38: We provide these after sales services free of charge: change of nose pads, adjustment and tightening of screws, adjustment of fitting and eye test.

  • Q39: Is it possible to return an item?

    A39: 1-Month full refund with no questions asked.
    * Limited to a one-time refund per customer for the return of non-defective products.
    * Refund will only be accepted at the shop of purchase.
    * To help us understand your needs better, please complete a Satisfaction Survey while we process your refund.

  • Q40: There is a scratch on the lens. Can you do something about it?

    A40: We are unable to repair or remove scratches on lenses.

  • Q41: Can you adjust the fitting of frames purchased from other optical shops?

    A41: We are happy to adjust the fitting of your frames for free. This service is available in all OWNDAYS shops around the world.
    *This service may not be available for some frames due to constraints in the frame condition.

  • Q42: Can I have the fitting adjusted at a different OWNDAYS shop instead of the one where I made the purchase?

    A42: We are happy to adjust the fitting of your frames for free at any OWNDAYS shop around the world.

  • Q43: The nose-pad screw and the hinge screw have come off. Can you fix them?

    A43: We are happy to put the screws back onto your frames for free.
