鏡に向かって、顔に定規をあて左右のこめかみの間を測ります。このとき顔のカーブは無視し、あくまで平面的に端と端の直線距離を測ります。メガネのフレーム幅は直線距離の長さなので、顔も同様に直線で計測します。
