With OWNDAYS glasses, enjoy peace of mind even after purchase Proper care and regular maintenance can extend the lifespan of your glasses. OWNDAYS offers you the most comprehensive after-sales service in the optical industry so you can enjoy your OWNDAYS glasses at all times.

From 1 April 2025, the OWNDAYS After-Sales Service will be renewed. While we have been providing “Customer Guarantees” as the after-sales service for eyewear purchased at OWNDAYS, we aspire to support our customers in their general eyewear life. Hence, we will be renaming the service to “OWNDAYS After-Sales Care” in line with the new theme of “With OWNDAYS glasses, enjoy peace of mind even after purchase”.
Customers who purchased before Monday, March 31, 2025 will be covered by the "Customer Guarantees" that was in place before the renewal.

  • Warranty is exclusive to the original purchaser only

  • Warranty starts from the collection date for in-store purchases and the shipping date for delivery orders

Exchange Warranty

Up to 2 times

If you wish to change the frame or lenses,
you can exchange them up to two times within the warranty period.

Frame Replacement

1 Month

You can change the frame design within one month of purchase.

  • Accepted only at the store of purchase

  • Returns and refunds are not accepted; only exchanges to other products are allowed

  • A top-up of the price difference is required for exchanges to a higher-priced frame

  • You will need to bring along the complete set of items you have purchased, the receipt and other relevant documents, such as the credit card and credit card receipt

  • The following items are not eligible for a frame exchange:
    Damaged items (in case of intentional or accidental damage) / Lost items, or items that cannot be returned to the store / Collaboration items, limited-edition items, outlet products, or sale items / Miscellaneous items such as magnifying glasses, lens sprays, cleaning cloths, accessories, parts, cases, etc.

Visual Performance

If the lenses do not meet your vision needs, you can exchange them for new ones with different power.

  • This warranty can only be used in physical stores, not online stores

  • Top up fees apply for optional lens upgrades

  • Lenses must be used by the same wearer

  • A new prescription is required if the purchase was made with a prescription

  • Warranty exclusions apply in the following scenarios:
    Damaged items (in case of intentional or accidental damage) / Items that have suffered deterioration or degradation due to environmental factors or lack of care / Items with scratches, damages, or peeling/cracking of the lens coating / Lost items, or items that cannot be returned to the store / Sunglasses, anti-pollen glasses, PC glasses, sauna glasses, magnifying glasses, or other ready-to-wear glasses / Contact lenses

Lens Type Change

1 Year

If the lens appearance or functionality is not as expected, you can change them to a different lens type.

  • This warranty can only be used in physical stores, not online stores

  • Top up fees apply for additional lens upgrades

  • There is no refund for the price difference when removing a lens upgrade

  • Lens type changes are not eligible in the following scenarios:
    Damaged items (in case of intentional or accidental damage) / Items that have suffered deterioration or degradation other than initial defects (including due to environmental factors or lack of care) / Items with scratches, damages, or peeling/cracking of the lens coating / Lost items, or items that cannot be returned to the store / Sunglasses, anti-pollen glasses, PC glasses, sauna glasses, magnifying glasses, or other ready-to-wear glasses / Contact lenses

Customers under the age of 18 are eligible for a one-time complimentary exchange of damaged glasses.
In addition, they are eligible for a special discount when purchasing a new pair of glasses within a year.

Damage Warranty (Free)

If the glasses are damaged due to negligence or lack of care, you can exchange them for an identical pair.

  • Applicable to damage caused by the wearer’s negligence or lack of care, damage caused by a third party, or scratched/damaged lenses

  • The damaged glasses must be returned for an exchange

  • If you would like to exchange your glasses online, please send us the broken glasses at your own expense. We will return the new glasses to you as soon as we receive them

  • Warranty exclusions apply in the following scenarios:
    In the case of intentional damage / The glasses are lost, or you are unable to return the damaged glasses to the store / The glasses are a collaboration product, limited-edition item, outlet product, sale item / Miscellaneous items such as magnifying glasses, lens sprays, cleaning cloths, accessories, parts, cases, etc. / Product exchanges (if the same product is not available, it may be exchanged for another product)

20% off Additional Purchases

You are eligible for a 20% discount on the regular price when purchasing additional pairs of glasses.

  • Discount cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions or coupons

  • This warranty can only be used in physical stores, not online stores

  • Discount is not valid in the following scenarios:
    The glasses are a collaboration product or a limited-edition item / Ready-to-wear glasses such as sunglasses, anti-pollen glasses, PC glasses, sauna glasses / Miscellaneous items such as magnifying glasses, lens sprays, cleaning cloths, accessories, parts, cases, etc. / Contact lenses / Lens replacement / Products that are already discounted such as outlet products or sale items

  • Applicable to customers who are 18 years old or younger at the time of purchase (i.e. up to the day before their 19th birthday)

  • A valid ID showing the wearer’s age must be presented at the time of purchase and when using the warranty

Product Quality

If there are manufacturing defects in the frame or lenses, you can exchange the glasses for an identical pair.

  • The damaged glasses must be returned for an exchange

Disaster Warranty

If the glasses are lost or damaged due to a disaster such as a fire or earthquake, you can exchange them for an identical pair.

  • An official disaster certificate or disaster victim certificate issued by an insurance company or a public institution such as your local government is required
    Warranty will not be valid without official proof; lost item reports or medical certificates are not accepted

  • Warranty exclusions apply in the following scenarios:
    Lack of an official certificate / Submission of a medical certificate / Submission of a lost property or item report / Submission of a damage or lost report unrelated to the disaster / Loss due to personal negligence / The glasses are a collaboration product, limited-edition item, outlet product, sale item / Miscellaneous items such as magnifying glasses, lens sprays, cleaning cloths, accessories, parts, cases, etc. / Contact lenses / Product exchanges (if the same product is not available, it may be exchanged for another product)

Accident Warranty

If the glasses are lost or damaged due to an accident, you can exchange them for an identical pair.

  • An accident certificate from a public institution, such as the Japan Safe Driving Center in each prefecture or the police, is required
    Warranty will not be valid without official proof; documents such as medical certificates are not accepted

  • Warranty exclusions apply in the following scenarios:
    Lack of an official certificate / Submission of a medical certificate / Submission of a lost property or item report / Submission of a damage or lost report unrelated to the accident / Loss due to personal negligence / The glasses are a collaboration product, limited-edition item, outlet product, sale item / Miscellaneous items such as magnifying glasses, lens sprays, cleaning cloths, accessories, parts, cases, etc. / Contact lenses / Product exchanges (if the same product is not available, it may be exchanged for another product)

Theft Warranty

In the event of theft, you can receive an identical pair of glasses free of charge.

  • A theft report acceptance number issued by the police station is required
    Warranty will not be valid without official proof; documents such as lost item reports are not accepted

  • Warranty exclusions apply in the following scenarios:
    Lack of an official certificate / If the theft report has not been accepted / Submission of a lost property or item report / Loss due to personal negligence / The glasses are a collaboration product, limited-edition item, outlet product, sale item / Miscellaneous items such as magnifying glasses, lens sprays, cleaning cloths, accessories, parts, cases, etc. / Contact lenses / Product exchanges (if the same product is not available, it may be exchanged for another product)

Maintenance for the nose pads and screws of your glasses is available at any time.

Nose Pad Replacement

  • Standard nose pads can be replaced free of charge

  • Nose pads in unique shapes or with specialised components or materials such as silicone may incur a fee

  • Nose pads in unique shapes or with specialised components or materials may not be available

Screw Tightening & Replacement

  • Servicing may not be possible if the screw is stuck or if the frame or screw is in poor condition

  • Some items may not be available due to their specialised parts, shape, or material.

You can visit the store anytime for eye tests and consultations about your glasses.
Glasses cleaning and fitting services are available free of charge at any time.

Eye Test

  • For those under the age of 16 and those who are using glasses for the first time, it is recommended to have them made according to a prescription from an eye doctor

  • Prism correction and depth perception tests are not available in-store; if required, please visit an eye doctor for a prescription

  • If your eye condition is unstable, or an adequate vision measurement cannot be performed in-store, you may be asked to see an eye doctor for a prescription

Fit Adjustment (Fitting)

  • We may be unable to accommodate some requests depending on the material used or the condition of the glasses

Cleaning

  • We may be unable to accommodate some requests depending on the material used or the condition of the glasses
